U.S. stopped $814 million in foreign aid getting to Katrina victims

Allies offered $854 million in cash and in oil that was to be sold for cash. But only $40 million has been used so far for disaster victims or reconstruction, according to U.S. officials and contractors. Most of the aid went uncollected, including $400 million worth of oil.

Tragedy at Virginia Tech

We at The Falcon and the Dove want to express our deep shock and sorrow at the events that unfolded in Blacksburg, Virginia at Virginia Tech. After fatally shooting 32 people, including students and professors, the lone gunman took his own life.

We wish to offer our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, as well as with the students who are recovering from their injuries. We wish you all the very best, and give all our love.
